The IV International Theater Festival “Theatrical Art of the Age of Happiness” was held in Ashgabat

The Taldykorgan Drama Theater named after Biken Rimov of the Zhetysu region took part in the theater festival “Theatrical Art of the Era of Happiness” in Ashgabat, organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the International Organization TURKSOY on November 14-16.

The Taldykorgan Drama Theater presented a theatrical performance based on the classic of Kazakh literature Mukhtar Auezov “Day of the Defenseless”.

“Day of the Defenseless” is one of the most striking performances in the repertoire of the Taldykorgan Drama Theater named after Biken Rimova. In the play, the author from the depths of his heart transfers the scene of the life of the poor people of the indigenous Kazakh village and very honestly describes the terrible pain and suffering in the life of the poor, defenseless people.

On the final day of the IV International Festival “Theatrical Art of the Era of Happiness”, the main academic drama theater named after. Saparmurat Turkmenbashi invited its participants to the play “Makhtumkuli - the Bird of Happiness” by playwright Govshutgeldy Danatarov.

“I watched the five foreign performances of the festival with great interest; I liked the Kazakh play “Day of the Defenseless” the most; the emotional pain from this production still does not disappear from my heart,” says Govshutgeldy Danatarov.

Theater groups from Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey took part in the international festival.
