About the meeting of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan with the Hyakim of Mary velayat

On November 22, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Askar Tazhibayev paid a working visit to Mary velayat.

During the meeting with the Hyakim of the Mary velayat, Begenchmyrat Orazov, issues of developing trade, economic, historical, cultural and tourism ties between the Mary velayat and the regions of Kazakhstan were discussed. The head of the velayat informed about the current economic potential of the region, the activities of manufacturing enterprises in the textile and chemical industries, as well as about the Forum of Youth of the Countries of Central Asia and China “New Era of the Great Silk Road” held in the city of Mary.

Attention was paid to promising areas of cooperation in the field of agriculture, light and fuel industries, as well as interaction in the cultural and humanitarian field.

Following the meeting, the parties considered the possibility of establishing sister-city relations between the Mary velayat and the regions of Kazakhstan.
