Telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of Turkmenistan

On May 17, 2022, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The head of Turkmenistan congratulated K.Tokayev on his birthday, wishing him good health, personal happiness and prosperity, as well as new successes and achievements in responsible state activities for the benefit of the fraternal Kazakh people.

"Under your wise leadership today, the Republic of Kazakhstan is confidently following the path of progress and prosperity, achieving outstanding success in all areas of society and consistently strengthening its authority in the world," S.Berdimuhamedov said.

Having stated with satisfaction the achieved high level of established bilateral partnership, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the personal attention paid by the head of Kazakhstan to the development of strategic and good neighborly relations between our countries.

"We highly appreciate your trusting and sincere attitude and, in turn, reaffirm our commitment to deepening interstate contacts, in every way contributing to the promotion of a multifaceted dialogue both in bilateral and multilateral formats," S.Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

During the conversation, it was noted that Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are successfully cooperating in all major areas. There is an active political dialogue between friendly neighboring states, including interaction between ministries and departments.

Bilateral trade and economic ties are dynamically developing, cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian field is successfully expanding and strengthening, and inter-parliamentary contacts are being activated.

Confirming the mutual focus of the parties on the further intensification of a productive interstate dialogue, the heads of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan expressed confidence that, thanks to joint efforts, the relations of constructive partnership, traditional friendship and good neighborliness, which have been linking our peoples from time immemorial, will continue to steadily develop and strengthen in the interests of the two countries.

At the end of the telephone conversation, President S.Berdimuhamedov once again sincerely congratulated President K.Tokayev on his birthday and sincerely wished him good health, inexhaustible strength and energy, as well as happiness and success in state and public activities in the name of progress and prosperity of the fraternal people Kazakhstan.
