Ambassador of Kazakhstan took part in the official opening of the International Year of Peace and Trust

ASHGABAT, January 29, 2021 – The opening ceremony of the International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed by the UN General Assembly Resolution on the initiative of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, was held at the Institute of International Relations.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Ashgabat, deputies of the Mejlis, rectors of local universities.

Heads of international organizations, heads of UN institutions, permanent representatives of Turkmenistan and neighboring states to the UN made speeches at the forum via video conference.
