On the meeting of the Ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Iraq to Jordan

Amman, December 30, 2024 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Omar Al-Barzanji.

Talgat Shaldanbay congratulated Omar Al-Barzanji on the beginning of his diplomatic activity in Jordan and wished him success in the upcoming work.

The two sides exchanged views on the further development and strengthening of Kazakh-Iraqi cooperation on the whole range of bilateral interaction, in particular, on preparations for the upcoming events at high and highest levels, including those timed to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Iraq in 2025. They expressed mutual readiness to expand the legal and contractual framework, which will assist in activating business exchange.

The parties also thanked each other for their mutual support of initiatives at the multilateral level and expressed hope for planned political consultations in 2025.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to continue close cooperation aimed at developing bilateral cooperation, including in the trade and economic sphere.
