Amman, October 5, 2024 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan participated in the 60th Anniversary Annual Diplomatic Bazaar, which took place at Al Hussein Youth City in Amman. Foreign embassies accredited in Jordan were represented at the event.
The Bazaar was organized by the Mabarrat Um Al Hussein Charity, headed by Princess of Jordan Basma bint Talal, who is the sister of the former King of Jordan Hussein bin Talal.
At the Kazakh pavilion, decorated in the form of a Kazakh Yurt, Princess Basma bint Talal was welcomed by Ambassador Talgat Shaldanbay and the staff of the Kazakh diplomatic mission.
Princess Basma bint Talal noted that the pavilion of the Embassy of Kazakhstan is one of her favorites. A large number of Jordanians, as well as Kazakhstanis living in Jordan, and citizens of other countries visited the pavilion. They were presented with national souvenirs, elements of Kazakh folk costume, jewelry, traditional Kazakh cuisine and sweets.
The Mabarrat Um Al Hussein Institute was founded in 1958 by the late Queen of Jordan Zein Al-Sharaf. The Institution is one of the first charities in Jordan to provide shelter and education for boys between the ages of 6 and 18 from troubled homes.
Proceeds from the Bazaar will be used to support the Mabarrat Um Al Hussein Institute.
