Prospects for cooperation on digitalization discussed in Amman

Amman, September 6, 2023 – Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Jordan A. Tumatov held a meeting with the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of Jordan Ahmad Hanandeh.

The Ambassador informed the Minister about the main indicators of digital development of Kazakhstan, including ratings of e-government and online services. The experience of Kazakhstan in building digital as well as innovation infrastructure was also noted. In addition, Ambassador talked over the experience of the International Technopark of IT-startups «Astana Hub», the Park of Innovative Technologies, as well as the automation of public services, and a wide range of online services provided by banks, as well as the activities of the Public Services Centers, etc.

The Jordanian minister noted that Kazakhstan and Jordan have great potential for the development of cooperation in these areas.

During the meeting, it was agreed to sign a document (memorandum) on cooperation between authorized government bodies on digitalization matters. 

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan also informed Ahmad Hanandeh about the International Technological Forum «Digital Bridge», which will be held on October 12-13, 2023, in Astana, and about the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission to be held on November 15-16, 2023 in the capital of the Kingdom, Amman.
