On the meeting with members of the Kazakhstan-Jordan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group

On March 30,2022, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Amman Aidarbek Toumatov met with members of the Kazakhstan-Jordan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.

During the meeting, the diplomat informed the Kingdom parliamentarians about the chronology of the January tragic events in Kazakhstan and the results of its investigation. The head of the diplomatic mission also briefed the deputies on the key provisions of the Address to the people of Kazakhstan "New Kazakhstan: the path of renewal and modernization".

In turn, the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Group Abdulraheem Al Maayah emphasized the timeliness of the political reforms and democratic developments in the country set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and expressed confidence in their long-term effectiveness.

At the same time, the intention of the Jordanian legislators to work together to further strengthen practical cooperation in the field of parliamentarism, as well as to intensify cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres, was confirmed.
