Within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk test site thematic exhibition was opened in the capital of Jordan, the city of Amman.

As part of the events on the occasion of this ceremony exhibition was opened atthe art gallery of the municipality of Amman "Ras Al-Ain".This exhibition included unique photos, historical documents, and presents of Decree of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy N.A. Also Nazarbayev, as well as paintings by the artist, activist of the international anti-nuclear movement K.Kuyukov. This event was attended by representatives of the Jordanian public, the diplomatic corps, art experts and the Kazakh diaspora.Ambassador A. Tumatov informed audience about the historic decision of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to close the Semipalatinsk test site and also mentioned Kazakhstan's anti-nuclear initiatives, aimed at building a world free of nuclear weapons, as a result of which, on August 29 declared the UN International Day against Nuclear Tests.
