On August 4-9, 2021, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Amman organized a working visit of the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) Yerlan Baydaulet to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

      In frame of the visit, the delegation held negotiations with the leadership of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture, as well as the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC). During the meetings details presentation of the institute's current activities was made, as well as prospects for Jordan's accession to this specialized structure of the OIC were discussed. Taking into account the directives of local authorities to strengthen the food security of the Kingdom, the Jordanian side expressed interest in the further development of bilateral cooperation, including as a full member of the IOFS.

During the meetings with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and the «Aqaba Development Corporation», which manages key strategic objects, the delegation was acquainted with the investment and agro-industrial potential of the ASEZA, as well as the transport and logistics system of the region.
