The Head of the Representative office met the Director of Management Services with UN Volunteers

On February 24, 2025, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov held a meeting with the Director of Management Services with UN Volunteers (UNV) By Andrey Pogrebnyak. During the meeting the parties discussed the expansion of the participation of Kazakhstani volunteers in international UN initiatives, as well as Kazakhstan's initiatives to proclaim 2026 the «International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development». Special attention was paid to preparations for the Third Voluntary National Review, which will be held in July 2025 at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York City. At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for activization of further cooperation aimed at solving current issues of the region.
