Deputy Head of Representative Office of the MFA in Almaty at «UN Model» Conference

On December 6, 2024 Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Sergey Viktorov delivered a welcoming speech at the international conference UN Model-New Silk Road – 2024: «The Summit of the Future of the United Nations: the role of youth in promoting Sustainable Development Goals». The event was organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in honor of its 90th anniversary and a decade as a Global Hub of the UN Sustainability Program. The event, dedicated to International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development and aligned with key outcomes of the UN Summit of the Future, brought together over 100 participants from Central Asia and China. Delegates engaged in discussions across committees such as the UN General Assembly, UNESCO, C5+China, UN Department of Social and Economic Affairs and the UN Environment Programme. In his speech, S. Viktorov highlighted the UN Model as a transformative platform for shaping future leaders and fostering diplomatic skills. The Deputy Head expressed confidence that this event would provide participants with the knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to global peace, development, and sustainability. The UN Model – New Silk Road – 2024 promotes youth dialogue, innovation, and leadership to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
