Flag Raising Ceremony at Turan University

On November 15, 2024, Ambassador-at-Large - Head of the Representative Office of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov made a welcoming speech at the Flag Raising Ceremony organized within the framework of Global Networking Turan 2024 and timed to the International Students' Day.

Rector of Turan University Rakhman Alshanov and representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations in Almaty also spoke at the event. During the event, the flags of Azerbaijan, Spain, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania and Uzbekistan were raised.

In his speech, Zh. Abdrashov noted the importance of strengthening international cooperation in the field of education and science, especially the development of partnerships with foreign universities.

The Head of the Representative office also recalled the importance of higher education for the training of young professionals and called for further cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals.

The event highlighted the importance of strengthening Kazakhstan's educational and cultural ties with other countries.
