A solemn reception in honor of the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty

On October 31, 2024, the Representative Office of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, together with the Akimat of the city of Almaty, held a solemn reception on the occasion of Republic Day.

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ambassador-at-Large - Head of the Representative Office of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Zh. Abdrashov, congratulated the guests on the holiday, emphasizing the historical significance of the Declaration on State Sovereignty adopted on October 25, 1990. Zh. Abdrashov noted Kazakhstan's achievements in the international arena, emphasizing the country's commitment to multilateral foreign policy and the importance of initiatives aimed at strengthening peace and security. Among them, special attention was paid to the establishment in Almaty of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan, which received the support of the countries of the region and the UN Secretary-General, A. Guterres.

Separate words of gratitude were addressed to the Akim of Almaty city, E. Dossaev, and the rector of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, G. Tasbergenova, for assistance in organizing the event.

The Deputy Akim of Almaty, A. Abdykadyrov, made a welcoming speech. The honorary guests of the event were representatives of the diplomatic corps, UN agencies accredited in Almaty, as well as veterans of the diplomatic service. The concert program was performed by the artists of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.
