The UN Model conference «New Silk Road» was held in Almaty

On December 7, 2023, the Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, B. Bulegenov, took part in the Conference of the UN Model «New Silk Road» – NSWMUN (New Silk Way Model United Nations), held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The conference was dedicated to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the 30th anniversary of the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women (adopted on December 20, 1993), as well as «16 days of activism against gender-based violence».

NSWMUN operates under the auspices of the Global hub of the United Nations Academic Impact Program (UNAI) for Sustainable Development.

The conference was attended by a representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Kazakhstan, the US Consulate General, the expert community and students from a number of Kazakhstani and foreign universities.
