Plenary session of the Second Friendly Dialogue of Cross-border Cooperation of Kazakhstan and China

On March 28 of this year, an official visit of a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Ma Xinzhui, took place in Almaty.

Ma Xingjui took part in the Plenary session of the Second Friendly Dialogue of Cross-border Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China. The meeting on the Kazakh side, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin, was attended by Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, Akim of Abai region Nurlan Urankhayev, Akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev, Akim of Zhetysu region Beibit Isabayev, Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov, Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al- Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Tumysh and Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Bakytzhan Bulegenov.

The main attention during the meeting was paid to the development of interregional cooperation. Kazakhstan successfully cooperates with Xinjiang in many areas, including industry, transport, logistics, agriculture and tourism.

During the meeting, N. Zhumangarin noted the high level of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, stressing that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to deepening comprehensive cooperation with China in the spirit of strategic partnership and eternal friendship. China is one of the key trading partners of Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, a number of documents were signed.
