A delegation from Kenya attended the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2024) in Astana, demonstrating interest in establishing new business connections and expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan.
The main theme of this year’s roundtable was “Global Investment Trends: A Vision for the Future.” Discussions centred on current global market trends and their impact on investment strategies, particularly in the context of infrastructure development as a key component for attracting international capital.
KGIR-2024 brought together over 500 delegates from 40 countries, including government officials, business leaders, major investors, experts, and representatives from international and state organisations.
Kenya, one of East Africa’s leading economies, has shown high economic growth rates and has or has built a well-developed transport infrastructure. Trade between Kazakhstan and Kenya exceeds USD 40 million and continues to grow steadily each year.
During the forum, Kenyan business representatives held a series of meetings with Kazakhstani partners and discussed potential areas for investment and the development of bilateral trade.
