Astana, June 5, 2023 - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the solemn ceremony of raising the national flag ethno-memorial complex "Atameken". Addressing the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that state symbols are vivid embodiment of sovereignty and statehood.

– Sky-blue Flag, Emblem and Anthem is sacred to all our people. Independence is our greatest asset, and proudly raised the flag is the embodiment of the highest authority of the country. The President stressed that the duty of every citizen to honour the sacred symbols. In this context, he pointed out the educational value of this ceremony.

– We will not allow anyone to encroach on our sacred values. This year, penalties for abuse of state symbols have been strengthened. Special attention should be paid to explanatory work among the population. Patriotism begins precisely with respect for state symbols. We give a good example to the younger generation, glorifying our state symbols and educating them in the spirit of patriotism and creativity. Therefore, today's event has a huge educational and educational significance," Kassym–Jomart Tokayev said.

According to the President, the state symbols embody the history, identity and bright aspirations of our people for the future.
