Ethiopian businessmen discussed bilateral trade with Kazakhstan

Addis Ababa, October 14, 2021, - In accordance with the Interaction Roadmap adopted in September 2021 by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations of Ethiopia (TPSAE) and the Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations of Addis Ababa (TPSAAA), a meeting of diplomats of the Embassy with businessmen of Addis Ababa took place in TPSAE, during which issues of bilateral trade in specific types of goods were discussed.

The Embassy made a presentation on the export-import potential of Kazakhstan with an emphasis on priority areas of trade - metals and metal products, petrochemical products, fertilizers, agricultural products.

The participating businessmen, based on the information they had already received about Kazakhstan as a result of the previous outreach campaign conducted by the Embassy, ​​showed a keen interest in cooperation and spoke of their readiness to supply agricultural products to Kazakhstan: coffee in various processing variations, tea, textiles, soybeans, and import metal products, fertilizers, tires for cars and trucks from Kazakhstan.

The parties also discussed issues of transport routes and logistics support.

An agreement was reached on the study of proposals received from businessmen and on the continuation of contacts.
