Kazakhstan and Ethiopia intend to strengthen cooperation in the field of medicine

ADDIS ABABA, July 1, 2021 – Today the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia Barlybay Sadykov met with the Minister of Health of FDRE Dr. Lia Taddesse.

During the conversation B. Sadykov acquainted with the health care system in Kazakhstan, the measures taken to counter the spread of COVID. They discussed issues of mutual recognition of national vaccination certificates, supplies of Kazakhstani vaccine QazVac to Ethiopia, deepening cooperation between research centers in the field of medicine, and providing educational grants for students.

Minister Dr. Lia Taddesse expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of medicine, especially in the field of combating the COVID pandemic. The proposals of the Kazakh side will be carefully considered in close cooperation with the relevant specialized structures of Ethiopia.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation.
