On the eve of Independence Day, a photo exhibition and screening of the film "Kazakh Khanate-Diamond Sword" was organized in Addis Ababa

December 13, 2020, Addis Ababa, - Today the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia organized a photo exhibition about Kazakhstan and a screening of the feature film "Kazakh Khanate - Diamond Sword". The event was attended by the Director General of the UN Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Davit Yrga, representatives of the diplomatic corps, Olympic marathon champion Haile Gebresellassie, citizens of Kazakhstan working in Ethiopia.

In his speech, Ambassador B. Sadykov briefed participants about the achievements of Kazakhstan over the years of independence in social and economic development, the ongoing political reforms.

The special role of the First President-Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in the formation and development of Kazakhstan, strengthening of internal political stability, establishment of good-neighborliness and partnership with foreign countries was noted.

The importance of political and economic reforms carried out today in Kazakhstan on the initiative of President K. Tokayev was emphasized. It was noted that the parliamentary elections in January 2021 will take place in the new conditions of reforming the country's political system, which is aimed at creating a multi-party system and political competition, increasing the level of public involvement in political processes.
