On October 26, 2020, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia Barlybay Sadykov met with the Deputy Commissioner for Investments of Ethiopia Mr. Temesgen Telahun.

During the meeting, B. Sadykov informed about the economic potential of Kazakhstan and the prospects for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation with Ethiopia, promotion of Kazakhstan's goods to African markets and mutual investment. Information was presented in detail on the activities of the Astana International Financial Center and Kazakhstan's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative as a basis for expanding cooperation with Ethiopia and African countries in general.

Temesgen Telahun welcomed the interest in developing cooperation and provided detailed information on economic reforms in Ethiopia, including improving the investment climate in the country. He assured of the readiness of the Ethiopian Investment Commission to provide full assistance to the Kazakh side in the development of bilateral cooperation, including in the field of investments. very effective and expressed interest in exchanging experience in attracting investments.
