Kazakhstan and UAE Discuss Development of Cinematography

Abu Dhabi, January 9, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates, Najmedin Mukhametaliuly, met with Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Deputy Minister of Culture.

The meeting focused on fostering cooperation in culture, arts, and the film industry.

The Kazakh diplomat emphasized that Kazakhstan is currently placing significant importance on developing its cinematography sector. He highlighted the potential of using Kazakhstan's diverse landscapes as filming locations for international productions. Additionally, he proposed joint film projects with the UAE and invited Emirati filmmakers, who share similar cultural and religious values, to consider Kazakhstan as a destination for their work.

In response, the Deputy Minister of Culture noted the dynamic growth of cultural ties between the two nations and reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to strengthening collaboration in this area.

The parties also exchanged views on upcoming cultural events.
