Bell-Ringing Ceremony in Abu Dhabi Celebrates Inter-Exchange Trading Between AIX and ADX

Abu Dhabi, May 27, 2024 – A special bell-ringing ceremony was held in Abu Dhabi today to mark the official integration of the Astana International Exchange (AIX) into the Tabadul Digital Exchange Hub, a platform established by the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) to facilitate inter-exchange trading. This collaboration aims to enhance liquidity and simplify trading mechanisms for investors by providing cross-access to securities listed on both AIX and ADX. Tabadul offers remote access to financial instruments for brokerage firms affiliated with the participating exchanges, underlining the partners' commitment to expanding business relationships and strengthening cooperation.

Launched in July 2022, Tabadul is the first digital exchange service in the region operating on a mutual market access model. The platform creates a digital exchange network for trading among member exchanges at both regional and global levels, ultimately aiming to enhance cooperation and increase liquidity across the participating markets.

With the integration of AIX to the Tabadul exchange hub, it significantly expands the scope and capabilities of the platform, ensuring seamless and efficient trading and settlement experiences for trading participants and investors.

At the ceremony, Assel Mukazhanova, Chairwoman of AIX, commented:

“The trading partnership between ADX and AIX aligns perfectly with the objectives of AIX and will enhance cross-border market integration between Kazakhstan and the GCC markets. Joining the Tabadul Digital Exchange Hub opens new opportunities for Kazakhstani investors and enriches the array of instruments available to market participants.”

The event was attended by Mr. Renat Bekturov, Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), Mr. Najmedin Mukhametaliuly, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UAE, and the leadership of ADX.
