With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United Arab Emirates travel companies of Kazakhstan conducted a series of road-shows in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for tour operators in the region.

The Kazakh delegation consisting of the Almaty Tourism Department, the Kazakh Tourism National Company, Skyway, Kompas, Itour LLP Fun&Sun and Air Astana Airlines presented unique tours tailored to the demands of the local market.

As the UAE tour companies pointed out, visiting winter destinations in Kazakhstan is attractive, particularly the opulent and exclusive excursions provided in Almaty.

"The customers of our business adore luxurious trips. We carefully select for them the top excursions the host nation has to offer. We were impressed by the enormous chain hotels and breathtaking views that were shown to us by our Kazakh colleagues. The prospect of such a holiday will no doubt be appealing to our consumers," - Director of Voyage tours Adnan Aridi remarked.

To receive tourists from the UAE, our country has created the necessary conditions, including a bilateral visa-free regime between the countries, according to which UAE citizens can stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 30 days.

Our nation has put in place the appropriate framework to welcome tourists from the UAE, including a bilateral visa waiver agreement that allows UAE nationals to visit Kazakhstan visa-free for up to 30 days.

Air Astana responded by announcing a seven-flight weekly increase in the number of flights between Dubai and Almaty.

The number of visitors coming from the UAE increased quickly before the pandemic. Years show the clear dynamics: 1,493 UAE visitors to Kazakhstan in 2016, 3,503 in 2017, 5,253 in 2018, and 8,100 in 2019. The quantity of tourists is gradually increasing this year.
