The Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with the Director General of the UAE National Library and Archives

On February 7, 2022, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates M.Menilbekov met with the Director General of the National Library and Archives of the UAE Abdullah Majid Al Ali.

During the meeting, issues of enhancing cooperation between the archives of the two states were discussed.

In particular, Abdullah Majid Al Ali was informed about the “Archive-2025” project being implemented in Kazakhstan, within the framework of which it is planned to sign relevant bilateral documents with foreign states.

In addition, the possibility of holding joint events within the framework of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the UAE this year was discussed.

In particular, agreements were reached on the organization of a joint round table with the participation of representatives of various spheres of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE, the publication of a special photo album using rare photographs and documents stored in the archives of the two countries, as well as the opening of a corner of Kazakh literature in the National Library of the UAE.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
