Akimat of Mangystau region concluded a memorandum on the introduction of green technologies

Today, akim of the Mangystau region Eraly Tugzhanov and the Head of the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (ICGTIP), Rapil Zhoshybayev, signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation on the introduction of green technologies and investment projects in the region in Astana.

The document assumes interaction on a wide range of issues related to the implementation of sustainable development projects in the Mangystau region, the environment, construction of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and energy saving, digitalization, and management of solid household waste.

During the meeting, the leader of ICGTIP Rapil Zhoshybayev noted that in this direction in the Mangystau region is actively working, therefore it is necessary to use the capabilities of the Center as a universal platform to find the best options for solving energy and environmental issues.

To this end, the parties to the memorandum agreed to work together to exchange information and assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive plans for the region, investment, environmental, innovation and scientific and educational projects for the development of a green economy.

As part of technical and administrative support, as well as support for green investment projects, ICGTIP will operate on a “single window” principle for interested parties.

NJSC "ICGTIP" was created on the basis of the infrastructure and heritage of the EXPO-2017 exhibition at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, which he announced at the 70th anniversary UN General Assembly.

The presentation of the Center was held on May 17, 2018 as part of the XI Astana Economic Forum - GLOBAL CHALLENGES SUMMIT.
