In january-december 2022, according to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, industrial enterprises of the Mangystau region produced products at current prices for 3111.7 billion tenge (2021 – 2726.7 billion tenge), the growth of the index of physical volume (hereinafter – IFO) of industrial products by the corresponding period of 2021 amounted to 101.9%. In the mining industry and quarrying, the volume of production is 2737.1 billion tenge (2021 – 2394.6 billion tenge), the growth of the IFO is 101.1%, the share in the structure of industry for the reporting period is 87.9%.
The volume of oil production amounted to 16766.2 thousand tons (2021 – 16816.4 thousand tons) or 99.7%;
The volume of natural gas production is 2862.4 million cubic meters (2021 – 2862.4 million cubic meters) or 99.6% compared to the corresponding period last year.
The volume of services provided in the mining industry is 284.9 billion tenge (2021 – 284.9 billion tenge), the growth of the IFO is 113.4%.
In the manufacturing industry, the production volume of the industry amounted to 207.7 billion tenge (2021 – 187.6 billion tenge), the growth of the IFO by the corresponding period of last year was 100.1%. The share in the structure of industry for the reporting period is 6.6%.
In the context of industries, the growth of production volumes during the reporting period is observed in the following branches of the manufacturing industry:
- in light industry, IFO – 111,4%;
- in the production of refined petroleum products, IFO – 112,5%;
- in the chemical industry, IFO – 100,1%;
- in the metallurgical industry, IFO – 103,7%;
- in mechanical engineering, IFO – 135,4%
In the field of supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air–conditioned products were produced in the amount of 147.7 billion tenge (2021 – 125.4 billion tenge), the growth of the IFO – 114.8%. The share of the industry in the structure of industry for the reporting period was 4.7%.
In the field of water supply, collection, treatment and disposal of waste, pollution elimination activities, products were produced in the amount of 22.0 billion tenge (2021 – 19.2 billion tenge), the growth of the IFO – 111.6%. The share of the industry in the industrial structure is 0.7%.
