According to the Department of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Mangystau region, in january-september 2022, the volume of the manufacturing industry amounted to 142.1 billion tenge (January–September 2021 - 132.5 billion tenge), the physical volume index (IFO) was 98.7% compared to the corresponding period last year. The share of the industry in the industrial structure is 6.2%.
The increase in production volumes during the reporting period is observed in the following branches of the manufacturing industry:
- in mechanical engineering – 139,0%;
- in the production of refined petroleum products – 114,5%;
- Production of the metallurgical industry - 109,2%;
- Chemical industry production – 100%
