Information on the issue of hot food coverage
The 2022-2023 school year began with 175,368 students in 183 general education schools of the region. Among them, 165,509 students study in 144 day state schools. 142 schools in the region have canteens.
One hot meal was organized in 135 schools, and five meals were organized in 9 residential schools. This year, 47,731 children were provided with free hot meals (29,474 - low-income children, 18,257 - 1st graders).
Since the last academic year, an interdepartmental expert group for monitoring the quality of food for students and pupils has been established in educational organizations of Mangistau region, and school canteens are monitored at the end of each month.
State bodies, non-governmental organizations, businesses, representatives of parents, deputies were included in the interdepartmental expert group. The results of the examination will be published on the websites of the departments of education and the administration.
