Information on the development of school library fund in Mangistau region in 2022
A total of 141 schools have libraries in the region.
Library fund - 5,928,930, including the main fund - 895,916, textbook fund - 5,033,014 books. The number of fiction in the Kazakh language is 632,578.
For the 2022-2023 school year, 2 billion will be allocated from the local budget for the purchase of textbooks, educational materials, fiction and supplementary literature. 376 mln. Tenge funds were allocated.
For this academic year, 335,665 books for 2nd grade, 5,843 books for multilingual schools, 164,508 books for supplementary and fiction literature, and 483,294 books for grades 1, 3-11 were ordered. Currently, 133,547 copies of educational literature are being purchased with the saved funds.
Educational organizations publish book trailers and excerpts of works of art on social networks (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram) and arouse the interest of students in reading. To date, more than 350 posts in this direction have been published on the networks.
Coworking spaces are being opened in order to create a recreation area for students and teachers, i.e. a reading zone in their free time. Today, coworking has been opened in 55 schools, bookcrossing in 61 schools across the region.
