A meeting of the Public Council in the field of information and social development took place

The first meeting of the Public Council in the field of information and public development was held at the Ministry of Information and Social Development. Given the epidemiological situation, the meeting was held online. The event was attended by members of the Public Council, representatives of non-governmental organizations, subordinate organizations of the state body, etc.

“The head of state in his Address noted the need for further development of forms of interaction between the state and society, public monitoring and control of decisions made by the state. This will be the aim of the Law "On Public Control" - said the Minister, opening the meeting.

According to Aida Balayeva, the task of improving the quality of the nation's human capital through the desire for education, work and improvement can be realized only through cooperation with public councils. And the Ministry expects to hold such meetings on a regular basis.

“We are always open to your proposals and are ready to actively study them,” said the Minister.

The meeting discussed issues of information work and media support during the pandemic, state policy in the field of interethnic relations and improving the methodology for planning and implementing grant projects for NGOs.

Following the results of the speeches, a discussion and exchange of views of members of the Public Council took place, proposals were heard to improve work in the fields of information, interaction with civil society and interethnic relations.

Instructions were given to include in the minutes all proposals, remarks and recommendations expressed at the meeting and to bring to the attention of the responsible persons.
