Marat Azilkhanov held a working meeting with the leadership of the “Akniyet” rehabilitation center

On August 28, 2020, Vice Minister of Information and Social Development Marat Azilkhanov held an online working meeting with the heads of the Public Fund “Information, Propaganda and Rehabilitation Center “Akniyet” and its representative offices in the regions of the country.

During the meeting, Director of the public foundation A. Shaumetov and the heads of its regional branches informed about the progress of the grant project aimed at providing uniform mechanisms for carrying out rehabilitation work with adherents of radical religious ideology in the regions of the country, funded by the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.

Marat Azilkhanov touched upon the issues of timeliness of implementation of the measures envisaged by the project, strengthening of rehabilitation measures, improvement of mechanisms of interaction with local executive and law enforcement agencies.

Vice minister also noted the importance of the project being implemented by the public fund for improving the religious situation in the regions, as well as the need to inform the operator in a timely manner about problematic issues arising during project implementation.
