А presentation of book dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay «Representatives of ethnic groups of Kazakhstan about Abay «The word that changed the world» took place

On August 26 of the current year, the Institute of applied ethnopolitical research of the Ministry of information and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan held online presentation of the book «Әлемді аялаған сөз. Қазақстан этностарының өкілдері Абай туралы» dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay under the auspices of the APK. Leadership of Committee for development of interethnic relations, representatives of Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, members of Scientific-expert Council of the APK, the regional APK members, essay authors and Abai reviewers.

Chairman of the Committee Bolat Mazhagulov in his speech noted that the appearance of the official Abay Day was a tribute to the great ancestor, who became a symbol of the spiritual revival of the Kazakh people. He also stressed that the book was written about our common future, prospects and the need to preserve our common heritage.

During the presentation Deputy Director of the Institute, Aigul Sadvokassova briefed the creation idea of the collection of thoughts and opinions of different ethnic group representatives about the heritage of Abay from three centuries. The core plan was to tie together the retrospective memory of the great thinker and humanist, which began in XIX-XX centuries and picked up as a spiritual guide by the new generation.

In addition, during the event perfomances about Abay's personality, contribution and legacy of Pulatov Sh., Korabay S., essay authors Nuralieva D., Mirzoev K. and Shevchenko B. Were taken place.

Moderator of the event, Director of the Institute Kaliev T. stated that the enduring values of peace, humanity, knowledge and work unites us as a human community.
