At the «Gov2Jastar» expert platform a discussion was held on the topic «Improving the activities of regional councils for youth».
Councils for Youth Affairs are consultative and advisory bodies functioning within the framework of the current norms of the Law «On State Youth Policy» at all levels of akims - regional, city and district.
«Reformatting of councils on youth policy under akims will create new opportunities for activists on the ground, ensure their involvement in the decision-making process, make actions of executive power in regions more close to a young audience. It is fundamentally important for us to expand opportunities for civic participation of young people, paying special attention to real positive changes and ensuring diversity of youth representatives, reducing inequality» - said Alexander Danilov, Vice-Minister Information and Social Development.
The scientific research center «Молодежь» was presented a vision of possible changes in approaches to the formation and organization of work of regional councils.
«Discussion of the development of regional youth councils with young people is an essential component of the development of working and effective solutions. The event was attended by representatives of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development, The scientific research center «Молодежь», IA «Turan Times», the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academies of Elbasy, representatives of social funds and youth resource centers.
