The State and Religious Relations in Central Asia: сurrent State and Prospects

Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Nukezhanov took part in the international forum «The State and religious relations in Central Asia: the сurrent state and prospects» in Aktau.

The event was also attended by well-known experts in the field of religion of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of the forum is to discuss modern manifestations of the religious situation in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, the course of the struggle with religious radicalism and directions of new religious tendencies.

Within the forum, E. Nukezhanov made a presentation on the current religious situation in the country, the fight against destructive religious movements, counteracting religious extremism in the internet space. The forum began with a plenary session and continued with breakout sessions.
