Minister Askar Umarov met with the Director of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs in Eastern Europe Sergey Sokolov

Yesterday, on May 30, the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Umarov met with the Director of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs in Eastern Europe Sergey Sokolov 

During the meeting, the Minister briefly introduced the guests to the activities of the department. In his speech he noted that today TikTok has become one of the largest social platforms in the Internet space, which has become widespread among young audiences and not only. Currently it is popular with social platforms such as Instagram and Facebook in terms of user coverage. 

Askar Umarov noted that currently the activity of popular domestic bloggers united in tiktok-houses is growing in Kazakhstan. 

In turn, Sergey Sokolov stressed that the TikTok platform is used by more than 2 billion people worldwide, and there are already more than 7 million Tiktok users in Kazakhstan. In the 4 years since its appearance, TikTok's entertainment content has become more meaningful. 

At the same time, he supported the proposal to strengthen educational content and proposed to implement new joint projects in Kazakhstan with meaningful content about history, tourism, culture, education and science, theaters and museums. 

In addition, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Zakieva took part in this meeting. She noted the importance of implementing joint projects in the field of cultural, legal and digital literacy of children and youth. 

Following the event, the parties expressed their intention to strengthen relations and mutual cooperation.
