Askar Umarov held a meeting with Azerbaijani media representatives

During his visit to the Republic of Turkey Minister Askar Omarov held a meeting with Azerbaijani media representatives headed by Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Hikmet Hajiyev. 

At the meeting the Minister proposed to open the broadcasting of TV channels "Balapan", "Kazakh TV", "Khabar24" on the territory of Azerbaijan. 

The Minister noted that concrete measures will be taken to ensure the broadcasting of Kazakhstani niche TV channels on the territory of Azerbaijan, and invited Azerbaijani specialists to the largest media event in Central Asia – Astana Media Week. 

In turn, the Azerbaijani side expressed interest in Kazakhstan's experience in the field of mass media, including animation production, and expressed its intention to participate in the event.
