The meeting was attended by deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, political scientists, public figures and experts of the Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development.

The participants of the expert club discussed the implementation of the new public institute "Ulttyk Kuryltai", initiated by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan: "New Kazakhstan: the path of renewal and modernization". In particular, the key aspects of the National Kurultai in modern realities were considered.

The moderator was Kazbek Maygeldinov, Chairman of the Board of the Non-profit joint stock company "Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development". He voiced the President's thesis that the new structure will continue the activities of national councils at the national level:

"The role and tasks of the new Institute are special and have an important historical significance in building a New Kazakhstan. "Ulttyk kuryltay" should form a unified model of public dialogue and become a link between the government and society. The main goal is to expand the boundaries of the national dialogue," the Head of the Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development stressed.

In his speech, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Edil Zhanbyrshin recalled that the President has repeatedly spoken about the need to transform relations between society and the state: "Our President has a noble desire to renew Kazakhstan, to put it on the right path. And we must, as a whole country, unanimously support him! Such transformation, first of all, should begin in the work of the Parliament, within the walls of the Mazhilis."

In turn, a member of the deputy faction of the AMANAT party, Sayasat Nurbek, noted the importance of creating a National Kurultai in the formation of a new political culture in the country: "New Kazakhstan should start with new principles and new formats of work. The creation of the new institute "Ulttyk Kuryltay" will expand channels to ensure open discussion of all national projects and strategic documents. This is the joint work of the state and the public to develop the most effective model of the country's development."

During the meeting, the experts shared their vision and opinion on what functions and powers the new Institute should have, and also discussed steps to form a stable feedback between society and the state.
