The Year of Children in the city of Shu continues with sports competitions

Members of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve on a volunteer basis organized and held a Republican table tennis tournament and an open district basketball tournament among teenagers dedicated to the Year of Children in the city of Shu, Zhambyl region.

 

The event was attended by Vice-Minister of Information and Social Development Alexandr Danilov, who noted the importance of forming and strengthening the spirit of competitiveness of the younger generation, including through involvement in physical culture and sports. The importance of synergy between the state, business and the public sector for the implementation of such events was particularly noted.

 

More than 150 children and teenagers from different regions of Kazakhstan demonstrated their skills in sports competitions, the winners were awarded medals, diplomas and memorable prizes.

 

The organizer of the tournaments, a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve Maksat Jatabayev, emphasized that this is one of the first republican sports events within the framework of the Year of Children, which took place after a two-year break due to epidemiological restrictions, and expressed confidence in the continued support of children's sports in the country not only from the state, but also from initiative groups, civil and business communities.
