A working meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the APK on the topic "Nation-building processes in the context of the vision of a New Kazakhstan" was held

A working meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was held today on the topic: "Nation-building processes in the context of the vision of a New Kazakhstan" with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the APK, Head of the APK Secretariat of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Azilkhanov, deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Sarym, B.Abdygaliuly, K.Nurov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Zhaksybaev, members of the Scientific Expert Council and Scientific Expert Groups of the APK, a pool of young scientists, etc.

At the opening of the meeting, Marat Azilkhanov noted that issues of unity of the nation occupy a special place in the program of political reforms of the Head of State and the state today needs assessments, recommendations and proposals of scientists, experts and representatives of civil society on interethnic relations.

Director of the Institute of State History of the KN MES RK, Professor E. Abil in his speech drew attention to the need to develop a new methodological approach in the representation of national history, which is of particular importance for reflecting the objective contribution of national history to the world, its impact on the development of all mankind.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council of the APK for the development of scientific programs Z. Shaukenova, the transfer of the pool of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan from the Majilis to the Senate of the Parliament demonstrates the commitment of the Head of State's policy to preserving peace and strengthening the unity of the nation.

The director of the A. Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics, A. Fazylzhanova, in turn, expressed the opinion that both the instrument and the core of national construction is the state language. According to her, when common concepts and values are fixed in the minds of citizens of Kazakhstan, a national identity is established.

At the end of the event, the issues of including new members in the Scientific and Expert Council of the APK were discussed, and an exchange of views among the participants on topical issues of nation-building was also held.
