Competitive selection of candidates for members of the Public Council

Dear citizens, representatives of non-profit organizations!

The Working Group on the formation of the Public Council of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) in accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 2, 2015 "On Public Councils" (hereinafter referred to as the Law) and the Model Regulation on the Public Council approved by the Order of the Ministry of Information and Social Development dated February 26, 2021 No. 69, announces the competitive selection of candidates for members of the public council.

Duration of the contest: 10 working days.

The quantitative composition of the public council: 30 people.

In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 10 of the Law, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan who has reached the age of eighteen may be a candidate for a member of the Public Council.

A candidate for a member of the public council must not:

1) have a criminal record that has not been repaid or withdrawn in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) be found guilty by a court of committing a corruption crime and (or) a corruption offense in accordance with the procedure established by law;

3) be registered in organizations providing medical care in the field of mental health, for mental, behavioral disorders (diseases), including those related to the use of psychoactive substances.

Citizens, representatives of non-profit organizations wishing to participate in the competition within ten working days from the date of the announcement, submit the following documents:

1) a written proposal of a non-profit organization and (or) a citizen's application for nomination to the Public Council;

2) information about the professional and (or) social activities of the candidate with the indication of autobiographical data;

3) certificate of the presence or absence of a criminal record;

4) certificate of the presence or absence of mental, behavioral disorders (diseases), including those related to the use of psychoactive substances.

A candidate for a member of the public council shall submit the certificates provided for in subparagraphs 3) and 4) independently or by providing written consent to the reclamation of these certificates by the state body with whose participation the public council is formed from information systems.
