Experts discussed a new vector of development of socio-political relations

Today, an expert meeting on the topic was held at the site of the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of experts, political scientists, sociologists and heads of non-governmental organizations: "New Kazakhstan: a new vector of development of socio-political relations".

The experts discussed the formation of an effective format of the social contract and socio-political transformations in the conditions of building a New Kazakhstan.

During the expert meeting, Chairman of the Committee on Civil Society Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madiyar Kozhakhmet said that an expert and analytical working group has been established to form proposals and recommendations. The main task of the working group is to discuss proposals aimed at modernizing public relations on dialogue platforms.

"In general, thousands of letters, proposals of various quality, volume and direction have been received from kazakhs only addressed to the President in a month. All this is collected and reviewed by relevant ministries. There are worthwhile, useful and necessary proposals for society. We are considering them within the expert group and are developing opportunities for further implementation of specific and productive proposals," M. Kozhakhmet said.

According to the president of the ALE "Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan", Banu Nurgazieva, the tragic January became a watershed between the old and new Kazakhstan. First of all, it is necessary to create conditions so that citizens can express their disagreement in open discussions, and not at pickets, rallies, etc. Today, in general, there is still something common and unifying in Kazakhstan – this is a single request for justice and social guarantee.

"And huge energy, emotions, expectations, ambitions and hopes were released. People want to be in demand, people want to be heard, people want to be meaningful. This huge energy must be managed and, of course, directed into a creative direction," B. Nurgazieva noted.

The well-known economist, director of the Center for applied research "Talap" Rahim Oshakbayev named the main problems in the socio-economic sphere of the country.

"The basic indicators by which we can judge the economic situation are unemployment, inflation, real incomes of the population, economic growth. I'm sure all these indicators are very distorted. According to statistics, unemployment is 4-5%, inflation is 7.5-8%. These are absolutely fantastic figures that have nothing to do with reality. And another big problem is the creditworthiness of the population. The financial regulator admitted that about 1.5 million people are registered with collectors, and in fact, the number of enforcement proceedings has been growing by more than 1 million per year for the last 3 years. According to our estimate, about 2-3 million people have owed collectors and ship executors for many years. This is 11 million economically active population. These are big numbers. When we talk about poverty, income, employment, we must understand that a significant part of the population is in the red. That is, they go to bed and wake up, experiencing a debt burden on several loans," R. Oshakbayev said.

During the expert meeting, Chairman of the Board of the Non-profit Joint Stock Company "Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development "Rukhani Zhangyru" Kazbek Maygeldinov noted that the main significance of the tragic January events is the limit. That is, political and other mistakes of public administration will remain a lesson for us. Now, taking into account these lessons, we must begin to create a new Kazakhstan.
