Ethnopolitical discourse "The main aspects of the formation of nation-building in Kazakhstan"

An expert meeting on the topic "The main aspects of the formation of nation-building in Kazakhstan" was held on the site of the ethnopolitical discourse of the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Studies in an online format. 

The event was attended by Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Nurov, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the MISD of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galym Shoikin, representatives of the Institute of Eurasian Integration, as well as members of the Scientific Expert Council and Scientific Expert Groups of the APK, the Expert Group at IPER and other interested experts.

During the meeting, the issues of the main trends and factors of nation-building in Kazakhstan, the effectiveness of the nation-building policy implemented in Kazakhstan today in terms of the formation of a single civic community, as well as the relevance of the national idea for Kazakhs at the present stage were discussed.

The speaker of the discourse Professor Zhambyl Artykbayev believes that it is necessary to pay attention to the reformatting of the nation rather than its construction, and the deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Nurov expressed the opinion that it is necessary to direct all forces to the development of historical science, national idea, civic identity, modernization of the state language and one of the main factors – the expansion of high-quality ethnothermology, understandable and accessible to the masses.

During the event, the speakers actively answered the questions of the participants, in turn, those present exchanged views and expressed their point of view on the issue under discussion.
