The Scientific Research Center "Youth" together with the Committee for Youth and Family Affairs of the MISD of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an expert discussion platform "Youth in entrepreneurship: problems and prospects".
Various issues related to the involvement of young people in entrepreneurial activity were discussed with the participation of representatives of business and the non-governmental sector.
So, during the discussion, the head of the public fund "Digital Transformation" Shuzheyeva Aziza noted the need to determine the number of young people who could be helped by the state in starting a business. In her opinion, it is necessary to create a unified infrastructure for youth entrepreneurship.
Director of the Department of Mass Entrepreneurship of NCE RK "Atameken" Anastasia Shandryga pointed out the problems of entrepreneurship development among rural youth. Among them: start-up capital, limited access to microcredit, low level of secondary vocational education, financial literacy. At the same time, she noted the success of the Bastau Business program for 5 years, thanks to which young people, in particular, the unemployed, gain knowledge and skills in doing business.
Deputy of the Almaty regional Maslikhat Digai Damir stressed the need to systematize the work on training and inclusion of students as one of the categories for participation in the Bastau Business program.
Entrepreneurs Karimov Shyngys and Galina Schoenberg told about their experience of participating in the 2019 NCE RK Atameken grant competition and the Bastau Business program, as well as about the grant competition within the framework of the Business Roadmap. Thus, according to Shyngys Karimov, it is necessary to tighten control by NCE "Atameken" over the effective implementation of funds allocated for the opening of its own business. Entrepreneur Galina Schoenberg believes that there is a need to popularize and promote goods produced in Kazakhstan and the Kazakh brand in general. According to Galina, there are such problems among young entrepreneurs as the lack of experience in planning and strategy for the development of their business, as well as the lack of qualified specialists and the possibility of recruitment through Employment Centers.
Following the results of the event, the participants developed appropriate recommendations.
