Minister A.Umarov discussed issues of religious activity with the Supreme Mufti

Minister of Information and Social Development Askar Umarov met with the Supreme Mufti of Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly and discussed with him topical issues of Spiritual governance of Muslims of Kazakhstan.

A constructive exchange of views took place on the issues of countering the ideology of destructive religious movements in society. The issues of raising the quality of the Muftiate's educational work to a new level in accordance with global trends using various channels of information dissemination: mass media, social networks, messengers, books, etc. were also raised.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Supreme Mufti for his civic position and appeal to the Muslims of the country during the tragic events of January with a call for unity, assistance in preserving peace.

Askar Umarov noted: "The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan has always called for the consolidation of our people around spiritual values, contributing to the strengthening of interfaith harmony in the country."

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue close cooperation between the Ministry and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan.
