The Head of State took part in the ceremony of awarding grants "Tauelsizdik urpaktary"

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulating the participants of the event on the 30th anniversary of the country's Independence, pointed out the special significance of the ceremony. The President called the generation of Independence one of the bright symbols of the new Kazakhstan.

– Since our country gained Independence, a whole generation of young people has grown up, free in spirit and thoughts. A galaxy of children of Independence is growing up, who are already contributing to the prosperity of our Motherland. On my instructions, special grants have been allocated to young people who were born and grew up during the period of Independence. This was done in order to support the initiatives of talented Kazakhstani children. There is a good Kazakh proverb "zhas kelse - iske" ("a road everywhere is for young people in the country"). The hopes and aspirations of our people have always been connected with the younger generation, so we pay special attention to ensuring that young people receive proper education, knowledge and skills.

The Head of State stressed that the desire of our gifted youth to serve their native country inspires confidence in the future of Kazakhstan.

– I got acquainted with the projects proposed by the winners of the grant. Most of them are devoted to the topic of ecology and the environment. It's wonderful! After all, environmental protection is now more important than ever for all mankind. Preserving the unique nature of our vast land is a sacred duty of each of us. I am sure that the new ideas of young people will be implemented in various fields and will benefit people. In fact, it will be a gift of the Independence generation for the anniversary of our state–" Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The President emphasized that comprehensive support for young people is one of the main directions of state policy. In the conditions of the systemic crisis of the first half of the 1990s of the last century, a large-scale educational program "Bolashak" was launched, which was initiated by the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

- Thanks to this program, thousands of young people from all over the country have received and are receiving advanced education in the best universities in the world. Many of them are already making a significant contribution to the progressive development of Kazakhstan. The Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve has become an effective social elevator. It gives young and ambitious professionals another opportunity to prove themselves in the public administration system–" Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

In addition, in his opinion, the thirty percent quota in the electoral lists of parties contributed to an increase in the representation of young people in the Majilis and maslikhats. The Head of State also noted that projects and programs of social support for young people are being successfully implemented.

- Housing programs and special projects are being implemented to support young people. Talented young people who have achieved success in the fields of culture, science and education are awarded state prizes. I am sure that today's event will contribute to the implementation of your initiatives and creative plans–" the President said.

As Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, in the modern world, a successful person is distinguished by knowledge, diligence, purposefulness, energy. According to him, the winners of the grant are given a good opportunity to implement their projects.

– As they say, a purposeful person will always find his way. The State creates all conditions to meet the needs and needs of young people. You will definitely see and feel the achievements of the large-scale work and reforms being carried out. Recently, Elbasy addressed the Kazakh youth. I am sure that you, as representatives of the new generation, will meet the expectations of your senior colleagues. To do this, every young person should cultivate only the best qualities in himself–" the Head of State said.

At the end of the meeting, he expressed confidence that creative, creative and patriotic youth will contribute to the prosperity of the country. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished young people to become professionals in the future, real masters of their craft.
