M.Azilkhanov met with representatives of the Ethnocultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan PAK

Today, the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan hosted a meeting of Deputy Chairman - Head of the Secretariat of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan of the Presidential  Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov and Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galym Shoikin with representatives of Uighur ethno-cultural associations of the PAK.

 

Chairman of the NGO "Republican Ethnocultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan Sh.Nurumov, Board member D. Abdulkhalil and Chairman of the NGO "Union of Uighur Youth of Kazakhstan" R.Kairyev told about the work carried out by the "Republican Ethnocultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the of People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan in the year of the 30th anniversary of Independence, the active participation of the Uighur ethnic group in the socio-economic and public life of the country.

 

In particular, it was noted that the Center under the leadership of Sh.Nurumova is implementing a number of important projects aimed at developing culture and education in the Uighur environment. In addition, the active role of public structures of the Uyghur ethno-cultural association - the Council of Women, the Association of Schools with the Uyghur Language of Instruction, the Council of Scientists, the Zhigit Beshi Institute, the Council of Artists, the Council of Mothers, the Sports Council - in the social, cultural and educational development of the Uyghur ethnic group was emphasized.

 

In addition, the Center held reporting meetings with the general Uyghur community with the Uyghur, Panfilov, Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region, Almaty, Taldykorgan.

 

During these meetings, topical issues of the Uighur ethnic group were discussed, issues of education and upbringing of young people in the spirit of Kazakh patriotism, promotion of the state language in the framework of multilingual education in schools with the national language of instruction and other topical issues were considered. The broad Uighur public expressed full support for the instructions of President K.K.Tokayev, given at the meeting of the Assembly Council on October 21 this year.

 

During the meeting, Marat Azilkhanov emphasized that the "Republican Ethnocultural Center of the Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s  Assembly of Kazakhstan plays a key integrative role in the consolidation of the Uighur ethnic group and is an example in this matter.

 

Thanks to the work of the Center, issues of further participation of Uighurs in the current socio-cultural agenda of the State and society are successfully resolved.

 

The active role of the "Union of Uighur Youth of Kazakhstan" in the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State, in particular, in the development of volunteer and charitable activities, the implementation of an important TV project of the Assembly "The Road of Peace and Harmony" was noted.

 

In addition, M. Azilkhanov stressed the leading importance of the "Republican Ethno-Cultural Center of the Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the instructions of the PAK Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokayev K.K., and outlined specific tasks for the coming period.

 

During the conversation, the participants of the meeting dwelt in detail on the need for further consolidation of Uighur ethno-cultural associations under the auspices of the "Republican Ethno-Cultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan, creating favorable conditions for further strengthening interethnic harmony, tolerance in society.

 

The participants of the conversation discussed ways and methods of promoting the principles of Kazakh patriotism, civil equality, and the unifying role of the state language in the Uighur environment.

 

Joint measures were discussed with the "Republican Ethno-Cultural Center of the Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan on the tasks of the Head of State in ensuring "zero tolerance" for conflicts that could develop into an ethnic plane, manifestations of ethnic arrogance, discrimination on any grounds, attempts to undermine public order and internal stability on this basis.

 

One of the important topics of discussion was the issue of developing systematic measures to overcome the negative trend of the formation of closed ethnic areas and neighborhoods in rural areas and cities of the country, the phenomenon of "internal emigration", as a result, it was decided to make proposals from the Uighur center.

 

The issue of developing a new format of ethnomediation, in which Uighur ethno-cultural associations will take an active part, was also discussed.

 

In addition, the staff of the newspaper "Uygur Avazi" and the youth wing of the Center are tasked with timely response to provocative publications directed against unity and harmony in the country.

 

The tasks of strengthening the "Republican Ethno-cultural Center of the Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan, consolidation of public activists, scientific and creative intelligentsia in its ranks are outlined.

 

The "Union of Uighur Youth of Kazakhstan" was recommended to assist in the transformation of the movement "Zhangyru Zholy" into the republican youth organization of the Assembly - "Assembly of Zhastars", as well as to provide support for the implementation of cross-cutting republican projects of the PAK and its structures with a wide coverage of the population.

 

The Heads of the "Republican Ethnocultural Center of the Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan expressed their readiness to actively promote measures of socio-economic integration of ethnic groups in the regions, to ensure the active participation of young people in the implementation of environmental initiatives of the Head of State and in the laying of the Friendship of the People squares in the spring of 2022.

 

In conclusion, Marat Azilkhanov noted that the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan provides maximum support to all ethno-cultural associations of the country, including in the development of culture, traditions, language of ethnic groups. The necessity of participation of every citizen of Kazakhstan in strengthening social harmony and national unity was emphasized.

 

The Deputy Chairman of the Assembly conveyed warm congratulations to the Board and members of the "Republican Ethnocultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan" of the Assembly on the occasion of the First President's Day and Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and wished them health and success in their work.
