The winners of the Tandau Award became known

November 26, 2021, Almaty.

For the first time, the Tandau Award was held among NGOs in 15 nominations.

The solemn ceremony of awarding the prize to non-governmental organizations took place within the framework of the X Civil Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.

 

The main idea of the contest is to publicly recognize the achievements of the activities of Kazakhstani NGOs with more than 10 years of experience, who have contributed to social and public life, the establishment of independence and the building of civil society in Kazakhstan.

 

The organizers of the Tandau competition are the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social  Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

 

Evaluation criteria:

 

  • The organization's work experience in the non-governmental sector is more than 10 years;
  • The significance and social effect of the results of work in the life of target groups, the region or the country as a whole;
  • Social significance of activities and implemented projects;
  • Dissemination of experience and results of activities (multiplicative effect);
  • Recommendations, feedback from the public and the media;

 

It should be noted that the competition commission consisted of socio-political leaders, representatives of NGOs, members of Parliament, representatives of business structures and government agencies, international organizations.

 

The persons awarded the prize are awarded the title of "Laureate of the Republican Tandau Prize" in the corresponding nomination, a personal diploma of the laureate, a commemorative statuette are awarded.

 

Thus, the winners in 15 nominations were:

 

  1. "Achievement of goals in the field of education, science, information, physical culture and sports" - West Kazakhstan Regional Public Association of Disabled children.

2“ "Protection of citizens' health, promotion of a healthy lifestyle” - NGO "Kazakhstan Society of the Deaf”

  1. "Environmental protection" - OF "Ecological Fund of Kazakhstan".
  2. "Support of youth policy and children's initiatives" - NGO "United Children's and Youth Organization Zhas Ulan"
  3. "Assistance in solving family demographic and gender issues" - Ak-Otau Family Center
  4. "Support for socially vulnerable segments of the population” - Support for socially vulnerable segments of the population
  5. "Assistance to orphans, children from incomplete and large families” - BSF "Information support of society".
  6. "Assistance in ensuring employment of the population" - Public Association "Zher-Ana Astana"
  7. Protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and organizations - NGO "Consumer Protection Society of Kazakhstan”;
  8. Development of culture and art - NGO "EK Regional Association of Librarians".
  9. Protection of historical and cultural heritage - ALE in the form of the association "National Volunteer Network”
  10. "Strengthening social harmony and national unity - the Union of Veterans of Afghanistan”"
  11. "Assistance to probation services in providing social and legal assistance to persons registered with them - PF "Law”;
  12. "Conducting public monitoring of the quality of public services" - NGO "Angel".
  13. Promoting the development of civil society, including improving the effectiveness of the activities of non-governmental organizations - OF “KAMEDA”.
