Regulations for the protection of Journalists' rights in case of violation of their rights

The Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after the procedure of public discussion and coordination with all interested central and local executive authorities, posted on the official website "Regulations for the protection of the rights of journalists in violation of their rights".

The regulations reflect the rights and obligations of journalists, state bodies and the actions of the Ministry in cases of violation of the rights of journalists.

The main purpose of the regulation is to develop additional mechanisms for protecting the rights of journalists in case of their violation. The Regulation is a methodological guide, informational and explanatory in nature for public authorities and media representatives.

The protection of journalists' rights remains an important priority for the Ministry, so this issue is always under special control of the Ministry. If a journalist discovers a violation of his rights, he has the right to contact the Ministry to assist in resolving the issue. The course of consideration of all incoming appeals from journalists is under constant control of the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
